Ned is an outrageous comedy spoof that tells the so far unknown story if the young Ned Kelly. Ned leaves the family home with his faithful companion and pony, Muffy, to pursue his love of stage magic. His quest leads him to join the struggling Hughes Gang where he accidentally becomes the outlaw hero of colonial Australia. His notoriety brings him to the attention of the villainous English governor, Sinclair, who takes a very personal interest in the capture of Ned Kelly.
